Camp Saw 2011

The kids have been at my parents all week at Camp Saw. As you can see, I think the kids are having a grand 'ol time. Tom and I have had the most productive week on house, and today we drive over there today to pick 'em up. Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the kiddos!!!!

Master Gardener Training

My parents stopped by on their way home from camping for one night, and my mom (the Master Gardener) could not resist working in the yard. Of course the kids wanted to help as well.

Not sure if he's excited that he's about to cut flowers or that he has some garden clippers.

Busy cutting flowers for a bouquet

The bouquet in it's fancy container - The Cooler

Soooooo Happy!

Would you like some fries with that?

Cooking 101

Alice LOVES cooking. She threw a tantrum when she was 2 because I wouldn't let her watch Ina the Barefoot Contessa. Now she watches, Bobby Flay, Giada and Ina to name a few. Don't get me wrong, she'll choose a kid program over cooking shows, but I still find it hilarious when she's walking through a store and says 'Look mom, Giada made that' as she's pointing to an obscure veggie.

Chicken Parm 101 - Thankfully she is not squeamish handling raw chicken (I hate it)!

Dad super excited about his cooking prodigy.

Although Kyle knows who Ina is and gets excited to show people the arugula in our backyard, he's more into the snacking.

Two Babies and a Wedding

It was a very busy weekend in Boise! Our clan of friends headed up to McCall for Jen and Clayton's wedding on Saturday. It was soooo fun! Gorgeous weather, beautiful couple, fun ceremony and lots of dancing!

While we were all in McCall, two of our friends had their babies 2 hours apart! Congrats to Sarah and Scott - they delivered Thomas Matthew at 4:48. And then two hours later (next door with the same OB) Stacey and Luke welcomed Regan May! So fun!

The Heat of the Summer

We went to Walla Walla, and there was an old school see-saw for the kids to play on at L'Ecole.

Our first big harvest - Boise friends, I will be inviting you all over soon for a pick your own party. I may have been a little over zealous with the amount of veggies I planted.

Our Foreman - making sure this one area is watered multiple times a day.

Little Carrots

What do you do when you forget to pick up a veggie option for dinner? Send the kids to the garden! Tonight we harvested some baby carrots.

Happy 4th of July

We had some people over for a BBQ last night which included Cuban Sandwiches with Tom's famous 6 hour long smoked pork.

Yummers! Beer and BBQ!

Tom is giving everyone a sparkler 101 lesson.

And as you will see, they all took Tom's warning very seriously.

Being extra careful with the sparkler
