Summer Time Has Arrived

Summr time is upon us. We're having lots of fun with friends and family (Kathy & Dennis are back in town - hooray). We went to Keaton's bday party last weekend, and it was so much fun. Danny is the Martha Stewart of Les Bois, thanks for a great time (link to the bday party photos). Kyle is already 2 months old, I can't believe it. Time flies!

Too much partying...at least he didn't eat the worm at the bottom of the tequila bottle! :)

Fun Weekend

Kelsey and Erin came to visit us this weekend, and we had a wonderful time. Alice loved having them, and was intrigued with all her fun Japanese gifts (especially the Anpanman playing cards). Thank you both for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit us!

Also, thank you Mom for coming over to help watch the kids while I went out and played with my girlfriends! It was a much needed break!

Not much new news to report, other than Kyle continues to pack on the ounces. He's starting to grow out of 0-3 month clothes already, he's a tall one!!!

Sanity

Sorry for the delay in postings, Tom and I have been busy trying to keep our sanity. We forgot about the complete sleep deprivation that comes along with a newborn! Wow! Week 3 was pretty rough at nights, but we've rigged up the bassinet to help him sleep a little better (put together a ramp to help his congestion & use a rice bag to make it warm and cuddly). Hey, whatever works. We're all starting to have better nights....although this kid eats A LOT! I'm having quite a few nighttime feedings, every 3 hours (just like the textbooks say).
Alice has been great, no more freak outs or tantrums, whew. She's very protective of her little brother, and won't let any kids come up and touch him. She gets a little aggressive shoving people away, so beware!

This is the Year

Each year when baseball begins, you will hear these words coming out of every Cubs fans mouth: 'This is the Year.' Tommy is grooming his new Cub Fan to say these words as well. Hopefully Kyle and Alice will get to see the Cubs win the pennant in their lifetime (not sure if Dad will). Sorry Tommy (and Dennis).

"I wanna watch Ina"

Well, this might be the only characteristic where Alice takes after her mom. She is a Barefoot Contessa fan - Yea! Here is just a snippet of a fun tantrum we get to deal with every once in awhile.
