Stop 3 - La Quinta

The last leg of our trip took us to La Quinta to visit Nanny & Papa and Mark & Erin. We had a wonderfully relaxing time, and kids thrived in the CA sun and swimming pool. Thank you for a fabulous vacation Mogensen Family!!!!

Stop 2 - Disneyland and Claremont

We headed down to Claremont to stay with my Aunt Teddie and Uncle Kent. They graciously let us stay at their home and fed us delicious meals. They also watched Mr. Kyle as we took Miss Alice to Disneyland for her first time. Thank you dearly Teddie & Kent!!!!!

It's A Small World After All....sorry, you all have that treacherous song stuck in your head!

Disneyland was awesome, we had no lines and great weather. The only line we had was to meet the Princesses. Here is Alice waiting to meet them (much to her chagrin). Alice thinks no lines exist in the Magic Kingdom..ha, warped sense of reality.

After waiting in line for 40 minutes, this was the warm reception Sleeping Beauty got. Alice later told me she was being 'shy'.

Not into Snow White either

Starting to warm up to her

Giving the stink eye to Princess Jasmine
This was the first of SIX rides on Thunder Mountain. We kinda tricked Alice to get her on it the first time...'Alice, it's a train ride' rather than the roller coaster it really is. But once she was on, she loved it. She even threw her hands up the whole ride.
Teacups...gotta ride 'em. Ugh.

Sooooooo tired as we left the park!

California Here We Come - Stop 1 Somis

We had a wonderful vacation in California this last week. We began by going to my hometown to visit Gigi Alice and Underwood crew. It was an action packed few days that we thoroughly enjoyed. Here are a few snapshots of our adventure:

Mr. Kyle charming Gigi Alice

Gigi Alice taking little Alice for a ride on her 'Cadillac'.
We headed to Tierra Rejada (which is run by my family) for fun rides and adventures for kids. It is a great place for families to visit, and I'm so impressed with all the things to do. Here we are on the Cow Train.

Getting ready to take off

Riding the Pony
Next we had a family BBQ at my Grama's house, and it began with everyone going in the blueberry fields for appetizers. :)

Yummy! I take for granted that my kids don't have the luxury to go out in the fields to pick/eat their fruit/veggies. I was a very lucky child growing up in Ventura County.

Kyle trying to walk through the field.

Watch out Luke, here comes the bat!

We were able to stop by where Tom and I got married, Hartley's Botanical Garden. It was a special treat to show the kids where we got hitched.
I LOVE this photo! This is where Tom and I stood when we said 'I Do'.
Wow, what a difference 6 years makes!

Sayonara Helmet

We're officially done! Hooray!

I'm super cute with my new round head.

Check out the blue line, Mr Kyle's great head molding progress!

Kyle handed down his helmet to our friend Sarah, who apparantly needs some head shaping in her 20's. :)

Check me out, I'm Standing!

We've been home with Alice on a few sick days this week, she's been lying horizontal with the flu. Today was the first day she wanted to play, and took my work headphones to be part of her magic tricks.

Happy Easter

We headed to Powell Butte this weekend for Kyle's Birthday and Easter. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great, but we all had a fabulous time anyway. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend Mom and Dad!!!!

Working very hard on decorating her eggs
Kyle LOVED the piano

Just like every one year old, he went straight for the flame.

Kyle adores ice cream, but he makes this face with every bite because it's so cold...then clamors for more once it melts and he realizes how delicious it is.

Not sure I want Alice to be a car model when she grows up.....

Checking out what the Easter Bunny brought

Nothing like an egg hunt in 30 degrees!

The Easter Bunny put eggs in spots the kids could quickly find so we all could go back inside!

Kyle needs a few more years before he can drive Bob Bob's race car (although he was able to reach the parachute latch inside).
