Yummy Dinners

We have been absolutely spoiled by our friends the last month. We have received countless meals that have been life saving. Frozen meals, hot meals, invitations to our friends houses, it's been amazing. Thank you dearly to all our friends that have helped feed us delicious meals over the course of the past month. You all have kept us very well nourished, and we are so very thankful and appreciative of your generosity.

Here are a few photos of our dinner at the Wongs along with the Dahlbergs.

Twins?

Hmmm, twins born 2 years apart? It also appears I have a girl and a boy that look exactly like Tommy. Geez, those Mogensen genes are dominant!!!! I hope some Saw genes shine through some day. :)

Week 3

A few photos from week 3. Kyle is packing on the ounces and Alice has started to mellow out (a bit). The good weather is definitely helping, this week I introduced Alice to running in the sprinklers which she is a huge fan of. She also informed her entire day care class today that 'Baby Kyle eats mommy's boobies'. You've got to love kids!

Kyle smiled for the first time, at his sister - too cute! He also lost his umbilical cord so he can finally take a real bath.

We've had a good week at the Mogensen house, Alice is starting to adjust to her new brother......kinda. Yesterday I put her down for her nap, and heard her rummaging around in her room (nothing abnormal). Until...she walked out and looked like Casper the Ghost! She had climbed on her changing table, taken the Desitin and rubbed it all over body and stuffed animals like it was lotion!!!! I wanted to laugh and take a photo, but I couldn't condone this behavior. So all I have is this photo of the remnants left in the tube.

2 Weeks and Counting

It's been a little over 2 weeks since Mr. Kyle has come along, I can't believe it's gone so quickly. Kyle continues to be just like his father, super mellow - yea for us! Alice still loves her brother, but is not too fond of her parents these days. She is definitely testing her boundaries and making her mother a little crazy. Thankfully the weather is warming up so we can run off some of that energy outside!

Sleeping...what he is really good at (thankfully).

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny visited the Mogensen house last week and Alice was very excited. We spent the morning on an egg hunt in the backyard, and went to the Mogensen's for a yummy brunch later that day.

Super excited to check out what the Easter Bunny brought

Favorite Find

I'm not sure if these were available when Alice was born, but I discovered these wonderful nursing tank tops at Target. For all you nursing and soon to be moms, get a bunch of these! They are great for the hospital, night time pjs and wearing under your everyday outfit (b/c it covers up your post-prego belly while you nurse). Love them!!!!!

Hanging with Kyle

Kyle is showing us that he likes his new family and home, he's adjusting really well. The last 2 nights have been blissful with only 2 night feedings, I'm praying this continues! Alice is enjoying her new brother and calls him 'Baby Kyle'. She lavishes him with kisses...and tries to pry open his eyes. She thinks he sleeps too much. Thanks for all the phone calls and emails, I promise to get back with you all soon!!!

First Day on the Outside World

We survived Day One! Alice has been a great new Big Sister, she is already bossing her baby brother around. She keeps telling him to open his eyes each time she visits. Kyle has Tom's personality, super mellow. I don't think he cried once today, but I imagine he'll make up for it tonight. :) We'll be leaving the hospital tomorrow to settle into our new life as a family of four. Thanks for all your well wishes, we love hearing from everyone.
